Spicy Re fried Beans - (from my own beans)
Last fall, I dehydrated some of my beans - see the post here: http://dickybirdsnest.blogspot.com/2014/09/dehydrating-vegetables.html
These look so pretty in this vintage jar. Here is a recipe that I came up with to use with dry beans.
Boil 3 cups of salted water. Add 1 cup of dried beans. Turn down to simmer and place of cover on it. Let this simmer way several hours. Once the beans are fork tender, add chopped onion, garlic and a jalapeno pepper - add to your taste.
Cover and let finish cooking on low till beans are soft and tender. Put the whole thing in a food processor blend until smooth.
Put back in pan, keep warm until ready to use.
See this post as to how I used them: http://dickybirdsnest.blogspot.com/2015/08/spicy-beef-tacos.html
