Walnut Raisin Bread

Walnut Raisin Bread

1 3/4 C Flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t salt
1/2 t nutmeg
1/4 t allspice
1/4 t ground cloves
3/4 c sugar

Sift all of these dry ingredients together in a bowl

2 large eggs
1 C fat free plain yogurt
1/2 C applesauce
1 t vanilla

Mix wet ingredients in bowl.  Slowly add dry ingredients.  When well mixed add:

3/4 C chopped walnuts
3/4 C raisins

Pour into a sprayed loaf pan.  Bake 350 for about 75 - 90 minutes.

When cool put on glaze.  I made mine with the zest and juice of 1 lemon mixed with powder sugar. - YUM.

I made this one up - trying to make a healthier bread.  I figured out the Weight Watcher points - 5.5 per slice.  Next time I will NOT put in so many walnuts and raisins they are too many points.  It tastes really good.  I suppose with a cup of coffee and piece of fruit for breakfast it would still be a good point choice.
