2013 Wisconsin Valley Fair Ag Adventure Tent - Partnership for Progressive Agriculture

As I mentioned in earlier posts, our daughter, Justine was hired as the summer intern for PPA (Partnership for Progressive Agriculture).  Her main focus has been on the Ag Adventure Tent at the fair.  The intern's objective is not only to promote, but educate the families that come into this tent.

Justine did an amazing job!  She had some fresh and new ideas that really added to the established favorites.  She had so many ideas:  "locavore" why to buy "local;"  3 Sister's play she wrote about the Native American ways of planting (she had a galvanized tub planted with corn, squash and beans); "Chopped" challenge with local celebrities using Wisconsin products (I am doing a separate post about that); Master Gardener's seed planting; Bee Keeper's honey extracting and tasting; Llama and wool spinning demos; a "bug specialist" (from university); Farm to School presentation; Organic Valley - local farmer talking about organics; Ginseng producer; Vet Science demonstration; Woody (mascot) for local baseball team competed with kids in an Ag Olympics; pedal tractor obstacle course; crafts and a lot more.

Justine giving an interview for T.V. on how to make ice cream.  As the intern, she was interviewed several times this week.  She did a great job!
