“Oh DEER”

If you live in Wisconsin, ever lived in Wisconsin or even vacationed here, you know we have an abundance of whitetail deer.  I do like them, just not in my garden or in my apple trees.  These two spring fawns have been hanging around our place for a week or so.  Not sure where their “mama” is – I do hate to think of where she is – as my neighbor has like 12 deer permits for “crop damage" – I really don’t like that liberty our DNR gives farmers.   At least the ones by me,  as they DO NOT have cash crops!  We witnessed this same neighbor’s son, shoot a doe, pick it up and throw it on his manure spreader and dump it out in the woods – a waste!  There are plenty of community kitchens in our area that have asked for donations of venison.  There are processing plants that do it for free when you donate them.  Anyway, here are a few pictures of them under my apple trees.

They are cute!  Till later God willing…Blessings from Wisconsin!

  3. Great photos! And our neighbors, on all sides, do a lot of crop damage hunting too. Makes the actual gun season a little lean for the rest of us hunters. :/
