I’m the last of 6 kids. I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters. In 15 years, my mom had 6 kids. Our parents stayed married till death parted them (my dad has passed on). We had a blessed home to grow up in.
My mom wouldn’t and didn’t let us fight. I know, how did we all get along. I remember a story that my grandma Kincaid told me. My uncles were mad at each other and were bickering back and forth (they were like 10 & 12). My grandma couldn’t take it anymore, so she told them each to get up and fight about it….”punch each other” “hit him in the face” she yelled….by the time she was done yelling this at them….they both were crying and now it was them against her. They didn’t hit each other, rather they quit bickering. My grandma only went to school for a few years, she didn’t have a college degree, but she was one of the wisest people I knew. I still look on her and my mom for mothering advice.
Of all my siblings, I definitely am the most outspoken! And both of my brothers are preachers! I think it has to do with the fact I am the “baby.” Sometimes, I know I can be a “bit much” to handle. I do have a lot of opinions and share them. I’m the type of person who feels everything…I want to feel it too. I like people who are honest and speak openly. Even if I don’t agree, I respect that.
I know scriptures say: “from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh” so, when I do ramble on about my opinions, remember it is out of Love.
So, to my siblings that read my blog….happy brother and sister day! I love you all.
Blessings from Wisconsin.
