Our girls played volleyball and basketball at our school – Faith Christian Academy. Our school is small, so almost everyone joins a sport and we even have homeschoolers that help make up our teams. We had our last game and tournament – our school took 1st place for the second year in a row. Anna our youngest is a senior, so this was her last game (us too). She was captain this year. She did have an injury to her thumb – but was able to play in the tournament.
So the night before the tournament, I made a spaghetti supper and took it to school for the team. I also made homemade garlic knots, magic bars and pumpkin bars.
basic recipe for white bread, let it rise,
punch it down, roll it out..
cut into strips and tie into a knot…brush with melted butter and garlic salt…let rise again…then bake. You can brush them again when the come out of the oven if you want…
they are really good…
I set it up at the school, so that after practice the girls and coaches could eat.
The team before the 1st game…and before Sierra’s ACL and fractured elbow injury – poor Sierra….it was sad! She stayed the whole day and then her mom took her to the clinic for xrays…. One good thing about going to a Christian school – when she was on the ground crying---everyone----prayed. They also start out the games with prayer.
Anna…
the girls praying before the last game – they were tied for 1st and this was the tie breaking game – they played first team to get 15 points.
