Skillet!

This is fair week!  The Wisconsin Valley Fair actually was able to bring in SKILLET, one of my favorite bands.  They are Christian rock - well, more rock at times...I love the lyrics and lead singer's voice!  Anyway, you know the old saying, it's not what you know, but who you know.... Well, I know an amazing friend who gave us some meet and greet wrist bands.  My great-nephew, Caleb, loves SKILLET too.  Here is our picture.  

I would have to say, that this concert was one of the best at the fair in all the years we have been going - 16 yrs.  I'm sure country fans would disagree - we had Hunter Hayes last year.  
My friends on the fair board came over and told us that there was a family that came from Chicago to see them.   The lady next to us was from LaCrosse, WI, and drove 3 hours.  Skillet sounded as good as they do on the radio.  When they were done - the lady next to us said "so worth the drive!"  

It was awesome!  Tonight is Theory of a Deadman, which is one of Al's favorite bands - 2 nights of rock - I can't believe it.  
Off to the fair....
