Rib Mountain State Park has an amphitheater where they host summer concerts - "Concerts in the Clouds." This past Saturday night we saw The Canon Ball Band. This was a blue grass style show. It was free (with a state park sticker), the Marathon County Dairy Board had free ice cream cones too. We had a lot of fun.

My grandparents were from Kentucky and my grandpa Kincaid played this type of music (only it was old gospel songs) all the time. I liked it.
The next concert is July 21 with Galynne Goodwill a blue/soul singer. Can't wait.

I love Rib Mountain! Thanks for posting this! We use to take pizza up there a few times every summer to have dinner. It was always a good time. I may or may not be guilty of craving my name in the tower too ;)
ReplyDeleteI love Concerts on the Square too. Sadly I must admit I can't even remember the last time I was in Wausau! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteHello - I've been to Wausau to work on genealogy. We were concentrating on the Hogarty family of.....Hogarty.....and stayed in Wausau while we did the work. I love Wausau! Thanks for the great time visiting Wausau and your blog!
