Sweet Pear Breakfast

My sister Lori, has some beautiful pears this year.  She was kind enough to share some with me.  They are small, but super sweet.  They aren't "perfect" rather rustic and organic.

This morning, I was craving something sweet.  Nothing I had to put in the oven and wait for.  So this was my breakfast.

I melted some butter in the pan, added chopped pecans, 1/4 cup rolled oats, sprinkle of cinnamon, salt and the pears.  Then I poured some maple syrup over the top and put a cover over the pan to steam the pears.

The pears were still firm enough to cut with a fork.  Sweet, crunchy and flavorful!

Truth - it was more like a dessert, took only minutes to make and so good.

Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.
