I'm hosting a 12 Days Before Christmas Event here:

Day 5 - Vintage wool mittens, handmade, rice and clove, hand warmers and a mason jar candle from Eco Candle Co., Appleton, WI.
In case you're new here, I have a wool obsession. I picked up these vintage wool mittens (L-XL) while thrifting in Wisconsin Rapids. I knew I was going to use them for one of the days. Wool is warm and wonderful! In keeping with the hygee Christmas, wool is queen!
I also have been hoarding wool stadium blankets for years. I just recently let myself cut some up for crafting. To do this, you will need to wash the blanket and "felt" it a bit. I made these little hand warmers, it's a super easy project. Here's how you can do it too.
I started by gathering up my supplies. These little warmers are stuffed with brown rice and cloves.
Cut out some squares and sew them together, leave a small hole on the edge so you can fill them. I also reinforced the corners with back stitches.
I used a ziploc baggie with corner cut to fill my bag. Don't over fill it, as air needs to get around the rice and cloves. I used 1/3 cup or so of brown rice and 1 T of whole cloves. Then sew the hole closed and trim edges even. Simple!
Heat in microwave for 30 seconds.
Eco Candle Co.: https://ecocandleco.com/ has wonderful candles. I happened upon their shop one time while shopping with Renee in Appleton. I am all about supporting WI business so I knew I wanted to add this too.
Day 5 is for: 1 pair of winter white vintage wool knit mittens, 2 vintage wool handmade rice and clove hand warmers and 1 Winter Wonderland mason jar candle from Eco Candle Co.
Thanks for all the Likes, Shares and Comments!

Wonderful grouping of treasures.... Love smell-goodes of any type. Bet the clove is awesome... And wool...yikes, who doesn’t love wool? (Well, ok, maybe those who are allergic LOL....thankfully, I am not in that group!) Hope all has been well. I’m in a bit of a funk right now....canceled Christmas and am working on my hermit skills. ~Robin~
