Farmhouse Friday 2026 Week 2 - First Outing

Well, this is my first outing other than church and doctor.  I'm happy I was able to go.  This studio has handicap parking, no stairs and a bathroom large enough for my wheelchair.  Things you need to think about when you have mobility challenges.  We then went to lunch for one of my favotites Pho 76.  I love Pho!

I had my in home physical therapy.  Started back "working" with our lot drops on Tuesdays.  Went through a large amount of books, made lots for next week's drop.  Did some puttering around in the kitchen.

Saucy Asian beef and noodles - so good!

More sourdough bread, so that means more sourdough discard to work with.

Sourdough discard cinnamon scone

Sourdough discard maple, cinnamon crisps - cracker or cereal.  When I make this again, I will make them smaller and thinner.

Not much else going on here.  I probably could have been more productive.  I'll blame it on January.

Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.

    1. I started to make cracker type, but then it looked like cinnamon toast crunch cereal. So I tried it. (smile)

    1. Thank you. I think you could probably put the discard in just about anything. In home is better here in January for sure! Progressing to use of therapy equipment is next goal.

    1. Thanks, me too. I didn't want to miss spending time with the grands. I was happy it turned out. Ezra was a bit eager to push his hand down, but not in the right spot. Glad the shop person did it.

  4. How fun to do ceramics. My mom and two of my sisters used to do that together. Glad you got out a bit.
What's a lot drop? I'm curious about that, can you explain?
Lots of cooking and baking keeping you busy. And no doubt, warm too!

    1. It was fun. Especially to watch my grand's creativity. I have an online estate sale business on Facebook (group). We take in consignments and post on the group. We do what we call "lot drop" (lots (items) drop (listed) on our feed. We usually do 30-50 lots most Tuesdays. Sometimes, if we do a whole household we do 100's in a drop usually on a Saturday evening. Yes, keeping warm in the kitchen. Thanks.

  7. Ceramics I assume? I’ll have to look for something like that to do with my grand. She may be a bit young yet but as fast as time is going, it won’t be long. Funny to think we live in the same area and I don’t know of that place or Pho 76. I really need to get out more I guess.
