Motivation Monday - wait it's Tuesday. That just shows where my motivation level was yesterday.
Actually, I try to think of positive things to write about as motivation for myself. I hope that others who read my blog find it helpful as well.
I guess that is actually what I chose to write about. This past weekend, while set up at the show, a customer paid me a nice compliment about my blog. So, Chris - this is for you.
I really like writing this blog. It truly is an extension of my creativity. I also follow many blogs. I always look at the amount of followers they have and the amount of comments on each post. How do these blogs get those responses? Not that I think I have anything important to write about, I just wonder how they do it. What makes them so popular in blogland.
Then I have to remind myself - Jacky it's not a competition. I have to remind myself of that a lot in different areas of my life. It is one of the things I continually work on.
Then, Chris comes along...reminding me of something really important. I didn't know that people I knew here - that are not "followers" - actually follow me. Other friends over the past few months have come up to me and said...."that was so funny when...or, I tried your recipe and ..." How flattering.
So, Chris and others, thanks for motivating me. Knowing that people I actually know read this is all the inspiration I need.

really sweet.
ReplyDeletei am blessed to have lots of followers - and even more important to me - lots of regular commenters. but i also leave tons of comments in blogland every day. it is certainly a give and take, and not everyone has the time i have to give it. for now, at least... :)
I have enjoyed following your blog. Always lots of different subjects that you cover. I wish I had more time to dedicate to mine.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Jacky...this is just so true what you said.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a contest - I have my blog because I like to CHAT...lol And I use it more as a journal for me and my family. The blessings are those that come read it and follow.
I was in the same situation you were in this past weekend. If you read my last post from yesterday you would see that I met several people at a show that knew me from my blog but I had no idea who they were as they do not comment - but they let me know this past weekend that they like what they read. How fun.
I like reading your blog - I haven't been on much but hope to turn things around.
Blessings,
Karen
Hi Jacky! I understand what you mean! But I'm thankful I have followers! For a long time, I didn't! Maybe one day I'll focus more on growing my blog, but right now I'm content with where it is! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama!
