Marlene, my mother-in-law is the one in red. Rosie is in pink. Marlene started square dancing as a respite from the care she so lovingly provided for Ed, my father-in-law. Ed suffered from MS and Marlene cared for him, every day, in their home until the day he passed. She is a testament to the commitment of "in sickness and health" I don't know too many people who could have done what Marlene did. Bless her heart.
Anyway, she loves to square dance and is good at it. She has made so many friends that have helped her over the years cope with the loss of her husband and being alone. Rosie and Ray (the couple in pink) have been a large part of that as well as her friends in the Gateway Squares Dance Club. They performed yesterday at the Langlade County fair in Antigo. Alan and I drove over there to see her dance. We had fun and Al actually danced with his mom. They had asked for audience members to come up....we were in the front row....Al is not much of a dancer. We had a good time.
You are never to old to start a new hobby, learn something new and have fun.
Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.
