Saturday, October 10, 2015, is our annual Ringle Harvest Day. Our 4-H group organizes this event. Thank the Lord, it looks like we are going to be blessed with good weather.
Our club has a food stand. This year I'm so excited...we are making "hot beef sundaes" - mashed potato, hot beef, corn, cheese and a tomato on top...YUM! (Thank you, Country Fresh Meats!)
We had a few project meetings and the kids made some really cute items. We made some Frankenstein faces - the fuzzy mustaches were his eyebrows - we had a few left, so the kids were having fun with them.
Syminda, our current club president, made 4 batches of caramel sauce. We put the sauce in a container, added 2 apples in a cello bag and tied it all with a raffia bow. The sauce is so good!
It is so nice to have older kids that can take over a project and complete it without much supervision from me!
So, if you happen to be looking for something to do - come out and support our club. The money earned goes into our scholarship fund - every year each member has $25 to use for educational purposes (clinics, art class, camps). After, they give a presentation to the club and tell us how they used their scholarship fund.
Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.
