Putting Garden to Rest

My gardening looked different this year.  My new mobility offers opportunity for falling, so I stayed on safe ground.  However, Al took over and we had a garden.  We decided to make it smaller for next year.

Marry someone who will try their best to make your crazy ideas and dreams come true.  Honestly, this is 3rd time trying to get flowers in this field.  If it doesn't work next year, I'll let that dream go.  Ahaha.

Next year we are preparing for strips of flowers - working with nature not against it.  I don't know, too many years of it being a pasture and natural grasses.  We will try again.

It was 80 in Wisconsin this weekend.  My little mobility garden did not disappoint this year.  I loved sitting out there on my walker.

Getting ready for the Ringle Harvest Day Saturday, October 11, 2025 - 29 years!  From here on farm to the whole downtown of our little town.  Thank Lord!

Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.

  1. Fingers crossed that the third year is the charm for your field of flowers. You certainly were more than successful with the blooms in your "mobility" garden. It looks so beautiful. Best of luck with Harvest days... Wish I could go.

    1. Thanks, I had fun and it was fun to go out in the garden because it was manageable. I hope it goes good!

  2. I spent the day cutting back gardens emptying flowerpots. I saved a bunch of zinnia seed heads for next year.

  3. You have Monarchs! I'm so glad you got to experience the magic.
I'm wondering if you might consider growing in raised beds for your veggies? It might be more accessible to you. I missed my zinnias this year, so I am enjoying yours. ;0D
Have a good time at the Harvest Festival! Wish I could attend.

    1. I didn't plant them last year and missed them too. That is why I knew I had to plant some. I plan to do veggies, thanks. I hope the Harvest Day is fun and safe.
