12 Days Before Christmas Give Away - Day 4

I'm doing a 12 Days Before Christmas Give Away Event:
https://www.facebook.com/events/583713522363122/

Day 4 - In creating a cozy, hygee Christmas, "take a little break with hot cocoa" and enjoy it outside.  Now there is one thing to drinking hot cocoa inside, but an entirely different experience when drinking it outside with Jack Frost nipping at your nose.   Cold, fresh air is good for a body!

My dad worked outside EVERY day, no matter the weather, trimming trees from power lines for Acme Tree Service.  I have so many memories of watching him get ready for work on winter mornings, layer after layer.  He had his trusty old thermos filled with hot coffee.  Now, that was how that generation did things....no "single use" plastic, paper, etc. there.  This is another example of what I've been speaking about in my class, one of many reasons the "greatest generation" and the "millennials" have similar mind sets.

When I go thrifting, I always pick up everything in this picture, vintage old scarfs, "pantry jars" and thermoses.  My pantry is filled with jars like this with my dry goods.  This hot cocoa mix is super easy and VERY chocolatey....I made it up.

Here is the recipe:

1 C Powdered milk
1 C Cocoa powder
1 C Sugar
1 C Powdered coffee creamer (flavored if you wish)
1 C Chocolate chips

I put this all in the blender to mix it up really good.

The above recipe was doubled to fill the jar in this give away.  The jar may look small, but that's alot of mix.  Put in as much mix as you like per cup - I do 2 heaping tablespoons, it's pretty chocolatey.

This scarf is so colorful and soft too.  Of course you could wear it, but I also use them as table runners or on my primitive pieces of furniture under my displays.

This give away is for:  1 plaid thermos, 1 pantry jar of homemade hot cocoa mix and 1 colorful scarf.

Thanks for all the LIKES!

Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.
