I do LOVE bird's nests. Of course, I only collect empty ones. All but one of these nests were found on our farm. If you notice, the little resourceful birds used Jack and Peppy's mane or tail hair in some of them - too cute.
The above little nest was given to me by my nephew's wife. She found it in their garage. That little resourceful bird used old Easter basket grass.
I also love feathers. Must be the Native American in me.
This nest Al found while cutting hay. He jumped off the tractor and saved it for me. I love how it is incorporated in the stalks.
The days are getting longer, I've noticed more chirping birds in my barn....maybe, they know something...either way, I can see Spring on the horizon.
Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.

ReplyDeleteHi Jacky! Is Justine sharing some of her photography skills with you? Sure looks like it! I love the little bird's nest! They are so dainty! And the containers you put them in are great! So lovely! Yes, Spring is definitely not far off from here. And my birds are singing right outside my window! The snow looks pretty there, but I'm sure you are ready for it to melt! Hopefully there won't be anymore this season. Have a nice day! Blessings from Bama!
ReplyDeleteAwwww...love them.. Terry finds me one every once in awhile, too.. Love your mat which is darling.. xo
ReplyDeleteYou have a great collection of nests! I bet you do find quite a few on the farm. It always makes me feel sad after a big storm and all of the nests that blow down.
ReplyDeleteOh I love nests too. What adorable little nests and love the way you displayed them. Blessings Francine.
