Farmhouse Friday - Week 25 - Selling at the Farm

Well, I did it.  The first of my own estate sale.  Al and Anna helped me set up.  Truthfully, I did a majority of it by myself, with the Lord's help.  I did drop and break stuff - oh, well...few less things to sell.  The weather was beautiful too.

I was going to set up tents, pull out what I wanted to sell and stage in tents.  However, wind, rain, hail type of weather, Al convinced me to just start in a corner and work on it.  It was a HUGE mess, but the best idea.

The befores...

Al helped me set up tables in the middle and I found a place to sit and mark items.

This sale had mostly things you can create with.  Bundles of crafting wool, linens, fabric....

Already felted wool, wool sweaters....

unfinished projects, fabric and lots of miscellaneous.

The afters....

I made the mistake of saying "everything was $10 or less."  That would have worked, if I set up in the tents.  However, using my building, I had all kinds of stuff in here, so we had to hide it.  I still want to sell most of it, but not for $10 or less.

This happened....

This also happened....

Speaking of becoming "rich" - these words are priceless.

Now to evaluate left overs - toss, burn, donate, maybe lots for sale.

Swedish death cleaning continues.

Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.

  1. I am so glad I do not live near you I would have had a huge problem. I love most of what I see.

  2. Congratulations on a successful sale and making a big dent in that "cleaning" stuff. Looks like some good finds to be had even if one weren't in the market for crafting supplies. Those white shopping carts out front are amazing...and I'd have been making a beeline to those vintage suitcases and the felted wool. Yeah, this cleaning stuff isn't going to come easily to me.

  3. Dear Jacky, wow, you did an amazing 👏 job. I don't have talent in crafts, but many do and your sale looks like a crafter's dream.
    Beautiful and organized.

  4. You're doing it! ;0D It feels so good to let go of what is not serving us. You are creating space in your life for the blessings that have yet to come your way. Good on ya! What a gift you are to others. Blessings...

  5. So glad your first own estate sale is on the books. Kudos to you for being able to accomplish most of it by yourself. Hopefully sales were great. Yikes on your sign $10 or less and so glad you you able to hide the good stuff. At my mom's estate sale someone stole the entire matchbox collection...so I hope karma pays them back. Janice
