Little House on the Prairie was/is one of my favorite series. I felt like Laura so many times growing up watching that show. Oh, I do have that book too.
I turned 60! I woke up that morning thinking how blessed I was for 60 birthdays. I was also thinking how I couldn't wait to turn sweet 16 and just like that I'm now salty 60 (thanks Lisa). We are celebrating tomorrow with our children. Going on a boat tour and out to eat.
We ordered a "hitch" type thing for the back of my scooter. Now I can drive where I want to go and walk around. So I did....

I'm working in one of my buildings, trying to set it up for sales. I am planning the first for June 27. I think once I get it set up, I'm going to keep selling for my own "estate sale." Set up, have a sale, evaluate left overs, donate and then plan the next one. I have to do this while I am some what physically able to. I don't want to leave this big mess. I also, made the mess, I need to clean up the mess. I just have boxes and boxes of who even knows anymore. I spent the past 10 years selling other peoples stuff and neglected my own. I would buy, stack and store it. I want to enjoy what I do in a new way that I can still do it.
Well, I enjoy sharing with you all. Thanks for reading.
Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.

Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁
ReplyDeleteI love your photos. One of my favourite TV shows is The Waltons.
I also love ❤️ The Andy Griffith Show.
Too bad they don't air these classics. I am grateful 🙏 for YouTube because I get to see my own choice of shows, movies and music 🎶 🎵
We watched the Waltons too! Yes, I miss those old shows. I do look up what I want to view on YouTube. I loved HGTV over the years, but now I just watch YouTube for that.
DeleteGood luck with the sorting and selling. It's sensible to do that and I really should . . . 😯
ReplyDeleteIt was hard to get going, but I sold a bunch on my group and that motivated me to keep on going.
DeleteWe wholeheartedly wish you a very happy birthday! It is truly wonderful to live in such a beautiful place and to be grateful for it. Wishing you a joyful day and many blessings in the year ahead.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I do love it!

DeleteHappy Birthday! A bot ride sounds wonderful. Good idea to have sales right on your own property. Janice
ReplyDeleteThanks. I did this 20 years ago - monthly. However, zoning in the township told me I couldn't do it monthly, after doing it for 3 years....ugh. In the state of WI we can do 3 sales a year on your premis without having zoning problems.
DeleteHappy Birthday! The time just flies, doesn't it? Every day is a gift.
ReplyDeleteI love the Little House books and series as well. Anything pioneer is of interest to me.
Great idea to clear out what is not needed. Not only does it free up physical space in your home, it frees up space for good things to come into your life. Have you heard of Swedish Death Cleaning? It's the practice of cleaning up while you are here, so that your family doesn't have to do it when you're gone. It's very freeing! Continued blessings to you...
Thanks! Time does fly! I will have to go and look up that Swedish Death Cleaning. Yes, free up my mind too.
DeleteHi DickyBird, I’m your cousin, Auntie Verol’s daughter. I saw your comment on a YouTube video of Bodewadmi elders explaining our language and its significance to being who we are…just wanted to reach out and say happy birthday. I was 81 on June 4th.
ReplyDeleteWell Happy Birthday to you too. Yes, I remember you. I loved Aunt Verol her love of "the hunt" for treasure, her selling it with Norm Tyler. She told me they picked in WI and sold it all the way down to and in FL. I thought the junkin gene was froom Kincaids - I guess I had a double whammy of it.
DeleteI am so sorry I missed your birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy Birthday! Hope you had a lovely day
