Spring and early Summer strawberry decor in entryway. I love this!
Return to Mayo at beginning of month.
Had some return of the cold. Al covered the honey bees to keep warm.
Flowers coming up
Baking in my kitchen
My mom and dad with 1st baby - my brother Henry.
My mom and 3 of my 5 siblings. Thinking on her and my MIL on Mother's Day.
We have been doing stuff, I just don't think it's interesting enough to write about. Every day things, but I'm thankful to do them.
Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.

I'm so happy you wrote this post, especially about the IBM. I had to look it up and so glad I did. My daughter has been going through the symptom described at the Mayo Clinic. No one has been able to help her. You, writing about this may just help my daughter and others. So happy you have bees. I really enjoy reading how people care for them. So many pretty flowers and uhhh yeah baking. I would be interested in your everyday life. Have a very nice evening.
ReplyDeleteMayo has answers for the rarest stuff. Our daughter at 11 was diagnosed there with a rare bladder cancer. She is now 32. I've seen signs say "Mayo Miracle" from patients. We are on a learning curve with bees - second year. Thanks for saying so - I used to live a more interesting life. Now it is much slower - which I'm actually enjoying. Have a great weekend.
DeleteI am so glad your appointment went well. You look like your mom you have her sweet smile.
ReplyDeleteCathy
Thanks Cathy. When she was about 16 she was approached by a "photograher" wanting to have her model. She grew up poor in a very rural part of northern WI. She asked my grandma who said "no, nice girls don't let strange men take their pictures." She was right....but, what if he was legit. I might not be here if she had....

Your mom was so pretty. You look just like her.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your trip to Mayo was a good one. Your attitude is a real gem.
Thank you - she was prettier on the inside. I'm glad it was too. Thanks.
DeleteGlad to hear you have gained some function. Wonderful pics of your mom, dad and family. Pretty tulips. Ours are just blooming too. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. Janice
ReplyDeleteThanks. I did have a good Mother's Day. I'm working hard at keeping what I have - physically. I'm parting with lots of my junk. Plan to have a couple sales here this summer.
DeleteWhile doctor appointments absolutely suck, going to Mayo is an experience in itself. They have everything down to a science, treat patients with respect and know what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. I've seen plenty of signs saying "My Mayo Miracle." If you have something rare, it's not there.
DeleteGlad to hear you're doing well. Yah! All the hard work with therapy is paying off!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos.
It is!!!
DeleteThat cake looks delicious. I'm glad you can find joy in baking because it also brings joy to others! Mayo is wonderful. I've been there (stayed at the Kahler) and my mother was there numerous times. They know what they're doing. Congratulations on your recognized improvement too!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It is an incredible place for medical treatment. I pray it can stay same if not continue on....
DeleteI know I've seen photos of your mother that you've posted but your similarity to her in these two photos is uncanny. I do think the resemblances become apparent the more we age. I had always been told I resembled my mother...but truly thought my sister must have been adopted as she didn't (in my mind)...but now I think the both of us do. Glad you got some positive reinforcement and recognition for your perseverance and stamina. Glad Al snugged up the bees. It definitely got colder than they said it would a few nights ago. Between the cold and the wind, it's been a tough start to spring.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin. I agree of all my siblings, I look most like her. I am glad they had positive things to say too...I needed to hear. Praying I can maintain it. Yes, not too much of a spring here.
DeleteI'm sure it was good to get confirmation at the Clinic that you are doing the right things. Glad you have the comfort of your faith to see you through. Hoping spring stays around for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, my faith does comfort me. I think you just inspired a blog post. What comforts you?
