She told me that she would rate them 100 out of 100. She said "crispy edge, soft center, crunchy yet tender, frosting is amazing!" I guess I will make these again.
We made felted soap. I've never made that before.
My friend, Michelle, makes the soap: Little Bull Falls Soap Works check out her website.
I went back to "work" - I'm really self-employed, but my friend, Lisa and I share a work and selling space. We took off most of January. We are going to keep doing consignments for our on line estate sale business. I will keep working and trying to do things for as long as my body lets me. However, we are being very selective as to what we do.
I made some potato soup, it was yummy.
Another inspirational quote from my daily devotionals this week.
Tomorrow, I have my last in home therapy and evaluation. I made a break through with my walking with the walker in the house this week. I was so afraid I would fall, but I just made myself walk again and again. I had therapy today too. She told me that I NEED to keep this up, even if she wasn't here to remind me. I told her I come from a long line of people who never follow through...it's true...but, I know how important this is for me to keep moving and I WILL do it with the Lords help.
Blessings from from Ringle, Wisconsin.

I would say you’ve got a winner on the cookies, that is a fantastic rating - that recipe’s a keeper! And I love potato soup, what a good idea I’ll have to make some - yours looks delicious for these cold days. Oh yes, you can keep moving. I can tell you’re determined! I heard somebody say once, “Maybe the thing you’re most scared of, is exactly the thing you should do.” You’ve got this - keep going!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you Mary! I appreciate what you said! Yes, keep moving!
DeleteYou really impress me with how you adapt and keep up with things. You really are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThe potato soup looks delicious, a perfect soup for a cold winter day - and one of my favourites!
Thanks Sharon, I had a consignee stop in and ask if I was still going to take in items to sell. I said "for as long as I am able." He said "good, because you could sell ice to and Eskimo."
DeleteYou can do hard things with His help!
ReplyDeleteit's only with HIs help I am!
DeleteThat potato soup looks so inviting! I hope it is keeping you warm and nourished. That's quite a review on the cookies! Glad you have good company as you hibernate inside on these frigid days.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like January because I allow myself guilt free hibernating. I so enjoy days with my grands.
DeleteWe had ham potato soup the other day. Your soup looked yummy too. Yay on the Yelp review for your cookies. So sweet your granddaughter gave you a 100. Janice
ReplyDeleteShe loves lemon, so I figured it would be a winner. Plus, she doesn't get too many "treats" at her house. Grandma has to make something each visit.
DeleteYou have an amazing spirit and I know you will push yourself to keep going.
ReplyDeleteThank you for saying so. I do try.
Delete100 out of 100, you just can't beat that!! i made potato soup too, i think you saw that post. we got 2 meals out of it, we finished it today with grilled cheese sandwiches. i have made soap, and i have felted soap. it makes a really nice gift!! pat yourself on the back, you're doing well!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie. Yes, I saw your delicious soup too. My husband doesn't like it so he made liver and onions - I don't like that. So it worked out good.
DeleteThose cookies look great. I've never made felted soap but they are s pretty. Yes, your therapist is right! Keep at it -- prove the others in your family line that you are the exception!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement!
DeleteYour soup looks delicious! I love all your photos! I echo Sharon's comment. Thank you so much for your posts!
ReplyDeleteThank you for saying so. I appreciate the comments!
DeleteSounds like Lauren has the makings of a future foodie going there with her perceptive and discerning review. I have to admit I was surprised to read that you come from a line of people who don't follow through and presumably included yourself in that "line." You've always impressed me as a very determined soul and one who does what needs doing to get done what need getting done... All that to say that I have no doubt you will, indeed, keep MOVING!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin. She watches Choppe Jr. and that other Jr. baking show. She likes to cook and bake. Yes, I do come from and I have lots I've not followed through on....but thanks for thinking better of me...haha.
DeleteOh yes, do keep moving. Dan and I tell ourselves that all the time, no matter how much we don't feel like it! Glad you're making good progress.
ReplyDeleteThe cookies and the soup look so good. So do your felted soaps. That's a very fun project to make with kids and makes a great gift.
Thanks for the comment and encouragement. Any project with water is fun for kids.
